Kathlenn Stafford is a trial attorney at Chesney & Nicholas, LLP.
Ms. Stafford earned her New York State license to practice law in November 2001, and began her career in construction and labor law litigation. She then transitioned into the role of trial attorney in the area of personal injury law, on plaintiff side.
Ms. Stafford then continued onto civil defense litigation with Chesney & Murphy for approximately three years practicing all aspects of motor vehicle cases, livery black cab, no-fault, serious injury threshold, general liability, and municipal liability cases.
Her results from both sides of the Bar have been published in New York Jury Verdict Reporter. As a litigator for over fifteen years, Ms. Stafford is also well versed in the areas of medical and dental malpractice, general liability, real estate, landlord/tenant, and commercial transactions.
While primarily working in the private sector over her legal career, Ms. Stafford also served as a lawyer and investigator in the public sector to save vulnerable children from child abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
Before rejoining Chesney & Nicholas, Kathleen was engaged in dental and medical malpractice defense, other defense professional malpractice, and general liability cases for five years in Manhattan.
Ms. DeLisa received her Juris Doctor Degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1987, where she was an Associate Justice on the Moot Court Executive Board, a Regional Champion in the 1986 National Moot Court Competition, a Finalist in the 1986 Irving R. Kaufman National Moot Court Competition and a recipient of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Lynn earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1984.
She is fluent in German.
