Lynn H. DeLisa
Lynn H. DeLisa is a trial attorney at Chesney & Nicholas, LLP.
During her professional career, Lynn also had a solo practice concentrating on personal injury lawsuits.
She represents large retailers, corporations, school districts, churches, municipalities, insurance carriers and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation, involving claims of general negligence, intentional tort, construction/labor law, personal injury, premises liability, elevator/escalator accident litigation, motor vehicle accidents, and matrimonial litigation. In addition, she successfully argued numerous appeals before the Second Department of the New York State Appellate Division. Her caseload also includes a plaintiff’s personal injury practice.
In her twenty-seven years of practice, Lynn worked for a large New York City-based insurance defense law firm, handling complex civil litigation. She has also worked for a multi-state general practice law firm where she resolved matrimonial matters, aviation and motor vehicle litigation.
Ms. DeLisa was admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and The United States Court of International Trade.
She received her Juris Doctor Degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1987, where she was an Associate Justice on the Moot Court Executive Board, a Regional Champion in the 1986 National Moot Court Competition, a Finalist in the 1986 Irving R. Kaufman National Moot Court Competition and a recipient of the Lewis F. Powell Medal of Excellence in Advocacy.
Lynn earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1984.
She has a working knowledge of written and spoken German.
