Diane Cooper

A First Generation Polish-American (both parents emigrated from Poland to the United States in their teens), Diane put herself through college at NYU and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude.

Thereafter she put herself through law school (University at Buffalo) where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree.

She first started practicing at a small firm in downtown Manhattan doing both Plaintiff’s and defense work and then moved to Wilson, Elser (the largest insurance defense firm in the county) practicing medical malpractice defense work. After that she worked for many years as a Principal Law Secretary to a Supreme Court Judge in Manhattan in a General Civil IAS Part.

Then she worked for nearly a decade at several Plaintiff’s medical malpractice firms in Nassau County and Manhattan.

Her employment immediately prior to Chesney was a Staff Counsel position at Allstate in Nassau County for 5 years.

Diane is admitted to the bars in New York State, Connecticut, Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York.
